1) The articles sent to our journal are first forwarded to the relevant editor.

2) The article is sent by the editor to two blind referees.

3) In case of equality of positive and negative opinions about the article in the referee evaluations, the editor's or 3. the referee's opinion is taken.

4) The evaluations sent by the referees are reviewed by the editor and a message of acceptance, rejection or correction (revision) request is sent to the article owner.

5) In the case of a negative review of one of the referee's reviews and a major revision request of the other, the editor reserves the right to reject the article and reports by re-examining them.

6) For the article for which correction (revision) is requested, the referee's opinions are forwarded to the article author(s) and they are asked to make the necessary changes. After the author makes the change, he uploads the article back to the system. The uploaded article is re-examined by the referees and the evaluation report is prepared. In this evaluation report, the editor of Işık accepts the article by making the final decision. 

7) The referees decide within 6 days whether to evaluate the article sent to them.

8) if the referee does not respond to the invitation within 6 days, the arbitration request is canceled and the invitation is forwarded to another referee.

9) Referees upload their evaluations to the system within a maximum of 15 days after they declare that they accept the evaluation. This period may be extended for a reasonable period of time at the request of the arbitrator.

10) When the referees make a revision decision for the article, the authors are given a correction period of 10 days.

11) After the authors upload their corrections to the system, the referees are given a 10-day evaluation period.  This period may be extended by the editor at the request of the referees.
